This house is located in a quiet residential area in Narutaki, Ukyo-ku, Kyoto. You enter the house through Kabukimon (a gate with a crossbar) to the front door of the house. On the left hand side, a stone wash basin is placed under a large Kitayama cedar tree to welcome visitors. The entire garden is screened with Japanese hemlocktrees.
We planted many Japanese maple trees and placed evergreen trees such as camellia, red pine, black pine, and podocarpus trees in significant places.
